Warranty Statement and Terms

Thank you for choosing Zumax product. Please read the following instructions carefully before using it.

 

Limited Warranty Statement

This statement describes the product warranty provided by Zumax Medical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zumax"), and includes the services available and support related information to the original purchaser ("Purchaser").

 

Key Words

“Zumax” means Zumax Medical Co., Ltd

“Products” means Zumax products, including Zumax Surgical Microscope, Colposcope, Dermatoscope, Otoscope, Direct Ophthalmoscope, Indirect Binocular Ophthalmoscope, Retinoscope, Slit Lamp, Hand-held Slit Lamp, Tonometer, Examination Light, loupes, Headlight, Illuminator, Dental Instruments and all accessories related         

"Purchaser" means the original consumer who purchased the product;

"International" means a country or region other than the place of purchase;

"Local" means the place of purchase.

 

Warranty Period

The Zumax warranty is valid from the date of Ex-factory The warranty period varies by product model and country of purchase. For inquiries about the warranty period of your purchased product, please bring the proof of purchase (original invoice) and contact your local agent or Zumax authorized service center in your area to verify and obtain detailed warranty information.

a) Zumax Surgical microscopes including dental microscope, ENT microscope and ophthalmic microscope. (excluding consumables such as protective covers, sterilizable caps etc.) all enjoy two years of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

b) Zumax Colposcope (excluding consumables such as protective covers, sterilizable caps etc.) enjoys two years of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

c) Zumax Ophthalmic and ENT instruments including Slit Lamp, Hand-held Slit Lamp, Tonometer, Direct Ophthalmoscope, Indirect Binocular Ophthalmoscope, Retinoscope, Otoscope, Illuminator (excluding Specular), and Examination Light, all enjoy one year of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

d) Zumax Loupes and Headlight both enjoy one year of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

e) Zumax Dermatoscope enjoy one year of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

f) Zumax Dental Instruments including Dental Broken Removal Kit and Dental tweezer both belong supplies, please checking the outside packing and instruments inside before using. If the head is deformed, damaged, rusted, or broken, don’t use it. Contact local Zumax distributor or authorized service center. There is no warranty period for used instruments.

g) Zumax Wall mount transformer, desk charger, handles and power adapter for Ophthalmic, ENT instruments and Dermatoscope all enjoy one year of local and international warranty from the date of Ex-factory.

h) The original batteries as accessories for all products only have a three-month local warranty

i) The frame of Loupes and headlights only have a three-month local warranty.

The specific warranty period and warranty range vary according to your country or region. For details, please specify your Zumax service center authorization in your region or check the warranty certificate (if any) that came with the machine.

 

Warranty Range

The Zumax warranty service described in this statement is only applicable to genuine products purchased by the purchaser from Zumax authorized agents and distributors. The warranty is effective from the date of Ex-factory. Warranty is valid only for service in the original country of purchase.  

During the corresponding warranty period, if this product is used in accordance with the instructions in the "User Manual", there will generally be no defects in materials or workmanship.

If the purchaser fails during the use of this product in accordance with the instructions in the User Manual during the warranty period, Zumax will choose to use new or repaired parts to repair the product according to the situation.

 

Warranty Service

Any faults or defects which occur during the warranty period will be repaired for free provided the products caused by faults in material, design or workmanship. In the case of complaint of a defect in the product during the warranty period, the purchaser must prove that any such defect was present at the time the product was delivered.

Zumax provides two kinds of warranty services, "send for repair" or "home repair" according to Zumax products and the country where the products are sold. Please contact your local agent or Zumax local authorized service center for detailed warranty information.

For warranty service, please bring the proof of purchase (original invoice) to the local authorized Zumax service center for verification.

The parts removed from the product during the warranty service will belong to Zumax, and the parts replaced during the warranty repair will continue for the remaining warranty period of the product used.

If the product is tested in accordance with the original product specifications, and the operating system returns to normal, the product should be considered repaired. The service turnaround time depends on the country and the product purchased.

If Zumax is notified of a repair issue from international, you will get our feedback within 48 hours.

 

How to Obtain Warranty Service

To obtain warranty service, please contact your local Zumax authorized service center

The following conditions must be met to obtain the warranty service:

a) Successfully complete the warranty service registration on local agent or distributor;

b) Provide proof of product purchase (original invoice).

When contacting Zumax local authorized service center you need to provide the following data:

a) Your name, address, postal code, email address and contact number;

b) Model, product code and serial number. Such information is provided on the label under the fuselage or the volume label inside the expansion cover on the back of the fuselage;

c) A brief description of the fault.

When returning the product to the authorization service center, please provide the following information:

a) Proof of purchase (the original of the purchase invoice);

b) For products with complete packaging, it is best to use the original packaging box;

c) A brief description of the fault;

d) The return address and contact information of the contact person.

Warranty exception

This warranty does not cover the following conditions:

a) Failure caused by operation not in accordance with the operating parameters specified in the "User Manual";

b) Failure caused by misuse or abuse, improper installation, operation or maintenance, incorrect connection or external connection, use of non-Zumax accessories, repair or maintenance by personnel not authorized by Zumax, and not due to products Other conditions caused by defects in materials or workmanship;

c) Failure due to accidental or deliberate damage;

d) Failure caused by connecting an unstable voltage source;

e) Failure due to normal wear and tear;

f) Transfer of ownership, this warranty only applies to the original purchaser;

g) Failure caused by the use of non-original accessories and related equipment or external equipment, bulbs, SD memory, WIFI router, screen, 3D screen and accessories produced by a third party;

h) The product has been misused, abused or damaged;

i) The product is disassembled or repaired by personnel not authorized by Zumax;

j) The product does not have a serial number label;

k) Failure caused by any inflow of liquid;

l) The product has been damaged by natural causes such as flood, fire, earthquake, or other perils.

 

Regional legal rights

If the laws and regulations of the purchase region have other provisions on after-sales service, Zumax will provide you with after-sales service in accordance with the laws and regulations of the region. Therefore, the services and restrictions described in this warranty clause may not take effect. Zumax will assume corresponding responsibilities in accordance with the terms of this warranty and local laws and regulations.

 

Warranty Disclaimer

If this product has defects in materials or assembly, the purchaser's single and exclusive solution is to repair it in accordance with the above terms.

Zumax and its affiliates, suppliers, service providers, agents and distributors are not responsible for any of the following events:

a) Any damage, including but not limited to direct, indirect, accidental, punitive or collateral damage, loss of user data, loss of profit or business interruption;

 

b) Any loss directly caused by war, strike, industrial action, work stoppage, fire, explosion, lightning strike, social unrest, earthquake, riot, natural disaster, rebellion, sabotage and other natural phenomena, or any other reason beyond Zumax's control, damage or delay.

 

The right to interpret all final warranty terms belongs to Zumax. Zumax reserves the right to modify the above-mentioned regulations and regulations at any time without notice. The latest revised version of the rules and regulations will automatically take effect immediately.

 

Privacy Policy Statement

Zumax will not sell or disclose any customer data to other organizations. The data provided by the customer will only be used by Zumax agent or contractor to provide authorized services. With the consent of the customer, Zumax will provide relevant product information, discounts and update personal data for the customer through the customer's data.

Governing Law
